The visit of Piazza dei Miracoli with the Leaning tower is a must. You will admire the beautiful square with the monuments built with Carrara Marble stone. The Leaning Tower, the Cathedral and the Baptistery seem to be floating on a green grass carpet.

Pisa, the ancient Maritime Republic

Once a city of political and cultural importance, Pisa is now most famous for one of its architectural masterpieces, the Leaning Tower. Elsewhere in Pisa you can wander peaceful streets, admire the town’s palazzi and university buildings, shop in the market areas, and admire bridges and churches.

Among the most attractive churches are Santa Maria della Spina, a Gothic masterpiece on the banks of the Arno, and the octagonal Sant’Agata. Many visitors arriving at this university town visit the Piazza dei Miracoli, or Square of Miracles, where the tower, the Cathedral and Baptistery form the city’s main attraction.

Around the square’s perimeter, you’ll also find the Camposanto, Opera del Duomo museum and Museum of the Sinopie which we also recommend visiting. A few blocks away, the Piazza dei Cavalieri once was the heart of power in the city and later the headquarters of the Knights of St. Stephen.

Then we move to Florence, the capital city of Tuscany. Walking in the centre of Florence you will see the famous artwork of the Reinessance, a step into the past looking for the atmosphere of Medici family.

We will start the visit from the Cathedral admiring the Brunelleschi’s dome and the tower of Giotto. We will continue through Via dei Calzaiuoli to the Signoria square with the wonderful Palazzo Vecchio and the Michelangelo’s statue of David.

The town is situated on the river Arno, which is spanned by the famous Ponte Vecchio, the only of Florence’s bridges not to be blown up in the Second World War.

Florence’s most striking landmark is Brunelleschi’s dome on the Duomo, and its most reproduced sight is Michelangelo’s statue of David.
